Surveys have been sent! Hooray!
If you have not received one, don't worry! I'll be double checking whether they have sent over the next 24 hours and push through the surveys that have not yet been sent. If you have received a double survey, it's all right, it all links to the same place, so you don't have to fill it out twice.
By Thursday 5/12, if you haven't received a survey, let me know if you haven't received one, and we'll troubleshoot. You can also recover your survey at http://the-writers-block-tarot.backerkit.com

BackerKit surveys are coming!

We will send an email with a special link to BackerKit surveys in the next couple days.
It is important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information for fulfilling your rewards.
You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey, just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you’re all good to go! You will be able to answer questions about your rewards preferences, provide shipping information, and pledge for more “add-ons” if you'd like. You do not have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
If you decide later that you want to edit your survey response, you can go back to your survey and change it any time before we lock down the surveys for processing.

If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. Thank you for making our project a reality! Amber and I are beyond thrilled at how awesome you all have been and how far this project has been able to go. We never imagined that it would take off like it did and we are so honored to be able to share our project with you. Thank you so very very much.
Next! A few things need to happen before we can kick off production and fulfillment.
Here's a quick rundown:
First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks).
Second, we have to find out how many decks/books each of you asked for, what genre card you would like, and where we need to ship them. We will send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information.
We will give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You will not need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email will contain a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.
If you need to change your survey responses, add or remove add-ons, or update your shipping information, you can click on the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
If you prefer, you can just message me and give me your information, but answering your survey will help us get your rewards out to you quicker. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.
If you used Facebook to log into your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you'd prefer to use, please message me.
After all that, Amber will work on the genre cards, the court cards, and the minor arcana. I will work on the history part of the book and editing and proofing the book. Our goal is to have the proof copies of the deck and book printed and shipped to us by October. We will keep you in the loop on all the process as we go, so keep an eye out for the update emails.

Hardcovers!!!!!! Whee!

You all are absolutely amazing with your generosity and enthusiasm. Amber and I are absolutely honored that you have chosen to help us with this project and we can't wait to share it with you.
Some notes on the hardcover. It says in the Risks/Challenges portion of the general information that we will be using Createspace to print the book. Since Createspace doesn't do hardcovers, we will be using Ingram Spark to print the hardcover books. This increases the risk a bit since I have not used them before. However, they are a renowned printing service and so far they have an excellent customer support infrastructure.
We have decided to try to make the book 5x8 and have a dust jacket with gray cloth. Of course, this might change once the book is completed and layout is complete, but that is our hope.
Now that we have 32 hours left in the Kickstarter, we have decided to not add more stretch goals. Rest assured those backing over the 26,000 amount will be getting their books and decks, since we have budgeted for plenty of books and decks at that amount.

One Week To Go!

We have one week left and it has been an absolutely amazing experience getting to know some of you and being able to share this project with all of you. Both Amber and I are incredibly grateful that you have chosen to support our project.
With one week left, we still have time to reach the next stretch goal. As a reminder, at $26,000, we will have enough to make the books into hardcovers!
I have been working on gathering sources for the book's history section and Amber is still working to make the rest of the cards as awesome as the ones you've seen so far.
We are both very excited to share them with you.
